We are delighted to inform you that the Board of Directors has appointed Sonja Rottiers as Chair of the Belgian Finance Center.
This appointment marks an important milestone for our organisation as we look to the future with ambition and determination.
Sonja Rottiers is a seasoned finance professional with over 35 years' experience as an Executive in the banking and insurance sector.
As a member of the Board of Directors for two terms, she has made a significant contribution to our organisation.
This appointment follows the term of office of Bruno Colmant, who has served as Chairman of the BFC with dedication since 2011.
We express our deep gratitude to Bruno for his leadership and many contributions during his years at the helm of the organisation.
The decision to appoint Sonja Rottiers to this strategic position follows the in-depth work of the steering committee set up at our last AGM.
The committee's task was to identify the ideal profile to lead BFC and to analyse the best options for our future positioning.
Sonja Rottiers will take up her new role as Chair of the BFC on 4 December 2023.
Her vision, expertise and passion for the financial industry will be invaluable in guiding our organisation to new successes and consolidating our position in today's financial landscape.
